We all have many different parts of us that think and feel in different ways. —“A part of me wants to say yes to one more thing while another part of me wants to say no because I’m exhausted.”—Our parts can be scary, mean to us, anxious, depressed, dependent on others, self-harming, stressed, people-pleasing, self-conscious, impulsive, violent, etc. They can be a part of you that either you don’t recognize, or recognize all too well.
